**** seems to have a major problem in communication with a patient who has come cognitive dysfunction going on. I would expect that someone who bills her business as having caregivers who are trained in that area should certainly be able to practice those skills herself. BUT their discussions seem to always (or at least usually) end ** in heated arguments that do not accomplish anything for either one of them. It certainly leaves the patient very distraught and angry that she did not at all see the point that he was making. As a retired RN with a 40+ year career, and having worked in a psychiatric hospital for a time during that career, I understand the difficulty of communicating with a patient with that disability. But I also know that heated arguments do not accomplish anything at all in communicating with another person. I hope **** will review some of the training materials she uses with her staff and upgrade her communication skills with difficult patients!
